DIVORCE'S JOURNEY
More broken bones, more broken dishes,
With shattered dreams, shattered wishes,
No longer a refuge, nor home,
A place of anger, a battle zone.
The hatred, the non-stop yelling,
Daily belittling, frequent crying,
Black eyes, punches leaving bruises,
The mental and physical abuses.
Lies, cheating and more lies,
Time to end it, say goodbye,
As I'm walking out the door,
I know, it's divorce for sure.
Looking back, all those wasted years,
Prayers full of tears with fears,
Foolishly believing love conquers all,
Alone, divorced, I now stand tall.
Song Lyrics
BREAK THESE CHAINS
chorus:
Darling, it's time to break these chains of mine
I no longer want to hear your words unkind
I've forgiven them time after time
So I'm walking out the door, the door , the door
Without looking back no more, no more.
VI:
No more afternoon drives taking pictures
Spending time alone together
No more "you did this wrong" lectures
Because you think it could be better.
VII:
Darling, we had plenty of good times also
Mixed amnongst them were some bad
Right now everything just seems so hollow
Which makes the days flow by so sad.
VIII:
No more sunny easygoing days
Filled with laugther and smiles
No more dreary morbid ways
Or enduring heart-wrenching trials.
ViV:
Seems like it's just the right time
To move on, never look back
Time to break our ties that bind
We've derailed, can't get on track.
Chorus:
It's time to break these chains of mine
I no longer want to hear your words unkind
I've forgiven them time after time
So I'm a-walking out the door, forevermore
Without once looking back no more, no more
It's time to break these chains of mine.
Tag:
So darling, I'm leaving you far behind
As I break these chains of mine
I'm walking out the door
Looking back, at you, no more
Leaving your words unkind
Leaving us far behind
Breaking these chains that bind
These chains that bind.

THE LAST PLUNGE.
Gazing into the tubulent waters before me,
Despair, pain and grief are plain to see,
With dread, I heave a weary sigh,
As gray storm clouds begin to roll by.
As bolts of lightening streak across the east,
My ears deafened by the roar of the beast,
I plumment into the icy depths of hell,
From the bridge that I just fell.

MIRROR FACE
Down at the end of the hall,
From the mirror on the wall,
Gazes out a face in the reflection,
Dimlit eyes, betraying pain and rejection.
Like a path, my fingers do trace,
The creases wrought upon this face,
Such lines of worry, maybe fear, deeply engraved,
Oh vision of the mirror, face enslaved.
Sufferings and agony haunt your stare,
Overcome with pity, I shed a tear,
Wretched image, what is your name?
With recognition, I am the same.
Domestic Violence Site for Women
If you are a woman who is currently in an abusive situation please check out this site. There is help out there--really--despite what your abuser has told you. Please get help before it's too late. The writings on this page reflect the times I and others have suffered while being abused. You are not alone. Other women know what you are going through. Remain strong and leave the situation--no matter how hard it is or the fact that you don't think you can. Visit this site for information on how to do it--then do it before it's too late. Please, don't continue to allow the abuse to continue. You are a worthy individual and someone in the future will be good to you and love you and never abuse you. I was told by my exes that no other man will ever love me nor put up with me--they were wrong. I am currently in a relationship with a man who is loving and caring and cherishes me--most of all he has never abused me either mentally/emotionally, physically, nor sexually--such as my exes in the past have done. There are men out there that know how and will treat you with the respect and love and devotion and faithfulness each of us deserve. I can attest to that being true. Please contact the site at http://phenomenalwomen.com/help or you can email me personally at pstarr@angelrays.com. YOU ARE NOT ALONE.
BLIND LOVE
She looks deep into her heart and she can not feel the damage that he has done to her heart because she has Blind Love. She knows he has changed but does not know why, She doesn't want to listen to anyone because what they say is all lies because she is consumed with Blind Love.
The lies he tells her she believes no matter how ridiculous, only a fool would believe it but she does because she has Blind Love for him.
The pain he causes her when he loses his temper and slaps her around she feels she deserves, it she feel she deserves, why because of Blind Love. The women he runs around with, she feels she deserves it, why because of her Blind Love.
When will she wake up and take off the blinders, when she is Dead. And there will be no more Blind Love and he laughs at her in her coffin; will it be enough then for her to see the True Him or will it still be Blind Love?
Blind Love, look what it cost her. JUST FOR LOVING SOMEONE LIKE HIM. It cost her, All of her life, and anything that could have been good. Just because she didn't let herself see that HE WAS EVIL and the Blind Love kept her from seeing what Kind of Person He Truly Was.
