LET ME HELP YOU

Let me help you,

As one not two,

We joined, can do it,

Side by side, we'll climb it.

All obstacles, we can overcome,

All tangles, can be undone,

As long as we do things together,

As life-long partners, it's better.

Why ponder all the future unknowns,

And carry all your worries on alone,

When not far from you, here I stand,

Awaiting you, to reach out your hand.

I promise to stand by you,

I'll assist and help you too,

Babe, believe me, when I say,

My heart with yours, we'll make a way.

J-E-S-U-S

These are the gifts, to us,

from Our Savior Jesus.

J is for His Just and Fairness

E is for the Eternal Life He gives,

S is for His Sinless Sacrifice,

U is for His Undying Love,

S is for His Saving Grace.

C is for Calvary's Cross,

H is for His Humbleness,

R is for His Righteousness,

I is for His Innocence,

S is for His Salvation, free to us,

T is for His Triumph over death.

This spells Jesus Christ, God's Son,

sent to be the Savior for everyone.

Squishing My Toes

Squishing my toes into the sand

As I stood along the seashore

Letting go of Mom’s hand

I pick up a shell, “one more”.

The waves crash upon the beach

Kissing my toes, making them tickle

Overhead a seagull does screech

The next wave destroys my sandcastle.

I know the day is coming to a close

As the sky is now a reddish glow

With my bucket of shells, I squish my toes.

I look up at my Mommy, “time to go”.

Together

How do we cope

When you've run outta rope

And you are without hope

How do I let you know

To hold on, not to let go

Babe I tell you, I truly love you so.

You gave me such a scare

You caught me totally unaware

Loosing you, I just can't bear

Please don't leave this world yet

It would really make me upset

If you broke up this great duet.

We've only just begun our life's journey

You must realize at times it'll be bumpy

Some moments will be full of such beauty

Together we can share all life's worry

Making decisions, side by side, wisely

Holding hands, becoming old and wrinkly.

In Memory & Thankfulness Of Our Vietnam Veterans:

Unseen Hero

written by pamel

02/19/08

He sat bedraggled, his look forlorn

His hair damp, stragley and long

The coat upon his frame threadbare

People passed, dismissing him with scorn

As he sat, cup in hand admid the throng

Nobody really saw this man in the wheelchair.

His coat was his cloak of true honor

In which they should have stopped, paid tribute

For he fought for their lives, their freedoms

When he got home, there were no drums

Everywhere he went, he got the boot

As the camouflage he wears brings him dishonor.

No help from Veteran Affairs, not enough anyways

Discarded like garbage, this man who fought overseas

Unwanted by his own countrymen, like a disease

He watches as people seemingly hurry on by
Turning a deaf ear, as he chants "a few coins please"
This unseen hero who gave his legs, who was willing to die.

MEMORIES ECHO

Memories of yesteryear

Thought, to be left behind

Still haunt the echoes of my mind

Bittersweet reminders of another place

A seperate time

When tenderness and laughter once were mine.

Days of warmth and sunshine, lost in the past

Fail to pierce the gray gloom, determined to last

Faded pictures, everlasting reminders

Unforgotten where they lay cast

Like nursery rhymes

Incomplete, yet never outgrown too fast.
