Song Lyrics:

FOOTPRINTS UPON MY SOUL

You are sorely missed

All I do now is reminisque

There is no one, as unique as you

About the things you'd say and do

For my remaining days e-tern-al

You left your footprints upon my soul.

The memories that we shared

The ways you showed you cared

How you'd dry my te-ars

And quiet, all my fe-ars

For my remaining days e-tern-al

You left your footprints upon my soul.

Many times I'd wonder

Even now, I ponder

How you managed all there was

And still made time for u-s

For my remaining days e-tern-al

You left your footprints upon my soul.

Instrumental Break:

Within your heart was a song

Each day you'd carry along

To cheer me when things went wrong

To re-mind me where I be-longed

For my remaining days e-tern-al

You left your footprints upon my soul.

I remember your smiling face

As each new day we'd embrace

What life has brought together

Shall be bound in the hereafter

For my remaining days e-tern-al

You left your footprints upon my soul.

For my remaining days e-tern-al

You left your footprints upon my soul

Your footprints upon my soul

Footprints upon my soul...fade.

Sept. 2005--dedicated to my Mother

MY MOTHER

Mother of the days when I was young,

Memories of the lullabies she always sung,

Memories of her every wish and care for me,

Has to this day inspired me.

Mother of my early years,

Of all the times she wiped away my tears,

Memories of the laughter and caresses,

All the pretty homemade dresses.

Mother of my youth,

Inspiration of the belief  in truth,

Mother of my formative years,

Conqueror of all my fears.

From this very special mother,

I've recieved a love that surpasses any other,

Having become ingrained in the beliefs of honesty,

Love, valor, wisdom and Christianity.

dedicated, in memory, to my Mother with love

SONG LYRICS

WHATEVER IS IN THE PAST

He saw me on the sidewalk

His mouth was open and slack

He looked at me surprisingly

Then I walked quickly away

For us it wouldn't last

Whatever is in the past.

Much to my surprise

Tears stung my eyes

As the memory flooded back

To his shack, upon the beach

For us it wouldn't last

Whatever is in the past.

Instrumental Break:

I chided, don't dig up the memory

Never was it meant to be

We had our time of fun

Which ended with the setting sun

For us it wouldn't last

Whatever is in the past.

I could feel his eyes follow me

For I'd seen his stunned surprise

When he noticed my protruding belly

A souvenir of that day in July

For us it wouldn't last

Whatever is in the past.

Whatever is in the past

Whatever is in the past.....fade.
